Grigorian Faces Luo In ONE SAMURAI 4 Kickboxing Semifinal

Marat Grigorian meets Luo Chao in the ONE SAMURAI Featherweight Kickboxing Tournament semifinals when ONE SAMURAI 4 hits Tokyo's Ariake Arena on Saturday, October 17.

Grigorian, a three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion, punched his ticket with a unanimous decision over Mamuka Usubyan at The Inner Circle 25 on August 7, per BJ Penn. The win pushed his streak to four and lifted his career record to 71-14. Luo survived a rough second round against Kosuke Takagi at ONE SAMURAI 2 before rallying late to improve to 44-11.

Noiri And Siasarani Complete Semifinal Bracket

Masaaki Noiri faces Mohammad Siasarani in the tournament's other semifinal on the same Tokyo card. The winners of both bouts will meet in the final, with a guaranteed shot at reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon waiting for whoever comes through the eight-man field.

Grigorian's forward pressure and power have made him one of the toughest puzzles in the division, and his prior run at Superbon's belt gives him the experience edge. Luo showed he can handle adversity with his comeback against Takagi, but surviving three rounds with Grigorian is a different ask entirely.

A tournament win would give Grigorian the clearest path back to a title he has chased without success. For Luo, it would vault the Chinese contender into the biggest opportunity of his career.
