Gennadiy Golovkin and Nigel Benn will enter the International Boxing Hall of Fame in June as part of the 2026 class, ESPN reports.

The middleweight legends anchor a group that includes Mexico's Jackie Nava and former heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver. Golovkin retired with a 42-2-1 record after his second loss to Canelo Alvarez in 2022, having unified titles at 160 pounds with 23 consecutive defenses between 2010 and 2018. Benn, known as the "Dark Destroyer," held world titles at middleweight and super middleweight during a career that ended in 1996.

Nava becomes one of the few female fighters enshrined in Canastota after a run at flyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super flyweight and bantamweight that spanned three decades. Tarver, who famously knocked out Roy Jones Jr. in their 2004 rematch, claimed titles at heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight and cruiserweight before retiring in 2015.

The ceremony takes place in Canastota, New York, during the Hall of Fame's annual induction weekend in early June.
