Ryan Garcia defended his WBC welterweight title with a second-round stoppage of Conor Benn at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Garcia ended the highly anticipated welterweight clash at 1:25 of the second round, according to MMA Fighting's live coverage. Benn, who entered on a two-fight winning streak, had no answer for the champion's offense.

Vanhouter Delivers First-Round Knockout

Da'Mazion Vanhouter produced a stunning first-round knockout of Raphael Akpejiori on the undercard. Vanhouter dropped Akpejiori early with heavy right hands, then briefly appeared to hurt his shoulder against the ropes before recovering to finish the fight at 1:58 of the opening frame.

Mark Magsayo won a unanimous decision over Andres Cortes in a bout marred by confusing knockdown rulings. Judges scored it 97-93 across the board for Magsayo, though MMA Fighting's unofficial scorecard had Cortes ahead through most of the fight. Cortes landed his right hand consistently, but multiple instances where Magsayo took a knee after punches were waved off as non-knockdowns.

Jai Opetaia stopped Noel Mikaelian in the ninth round at 1:30. The cruiserweight bout aired on the Paramount Plus main card alongside Garcia-Benn.
