Fury Thanks Dana White For Joshua Deal

Tyson Fury credited UFC CEO Dana White with finalizing a deal for his fight against Anthony Joshua, though no date or location has been confirmed for the bout.

The former heavyweight champion posted to Instagram Stories on Friday praising White's involvement in the negotiations, according to MMA Fighting. "I'd just like to thank Dana White for making this fight happen, making this deal happen with Netflix and getting it all over the line," Fury said in the video. "You did an amazing job."

No Contract Signed Despite Fury's Optimism

Fury's comments came one day after he claimed he was moving on from the Joshua matchup entirely. The British heavyweights have been linked to a fight for nearly a decade, with Saudi promoter Turki Alalshikh's The Ring magazine reporting earlier this year that the bout would happen in 2026 after both men completed tune-up fights. Fury stopped Mariusz Wach while Joshua survived a difficult outing against Kristian Prenga, but the main event remains unsigned.

One reported sticking point is the venue. Fury has accused Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn of insisting on Wembley Stadium in London, while Fury has pushed for Madison Square Garden in New York. "I have a contract like they have a contract," Fury said in a separate Instagram post. "If we both stick to our contracts, there would be no fight."

Fury also denied asking Alalshikh for additional money and claimed Joshua's camp has made repeated financial demands. The next step for both fighters remains unclear as negotiations reportedly continue.
