Fury not locked to UK for Joshua fight, Hearn says White out

Tyson Fury's contract to fight Anthony Joshua does not mandate a UK venue, according to BoxingScene, though Joshua's deal explicitly requires the bout take place in Britain.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn told BoxingScene that Joshua's agreement locks the fight to a UK location, while Fury's contract leaves the door open for renegotiation. "I don't know what [Fury's contract] says about the venue. I just know what ours says: That, exclusively, the fight must take place in the U.K.," Hearn said.

White and Zuffa excluded from promotional role

Hearn stressed that both fighters signed contracts naming him and Frank Warren as the official promoters, with Dana White and Zuffa Boxing contractually barred from involvement. White claimed last week he would promote the bout and suggested it might leave the UK, despite Saudi financier Turki Alalshikh owning 60 percent of Zuffa Boxing.

Hearn speculated that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas could be a target venue. Two boxing officials told BoxingScene that Alalshikh floated SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as a possible location for the heavyweight clash.

The contracts link Alalshikh's Sela entity to two tune-up fights for each man before the main event. Fury faces his next assignment August 1 in Dublin, while Joshua meets Kristian Prenga on July 25.
