Fundora Stops Hadribeaj
Sebastian Fundora kept his WBC welterweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super welterweight title with a 12th-round stoppage of Ermal Hadribeaj.
The finish came with one second left on the clock and ended Hadribeaj’s unbeaten record. Hadribeaj worked well at close range early and had some success. Fundora gradually took over with sustained pressure and body punching. Hadribeaj turned increasingly to holding and clinching, and the referee took two points from him.
Fundora kept grinding with uppercuts and body shots until the breakthrough in the final seconds. It was another successful defense for the 6-foot-6 southpaw, who stopped Keith Thurman in round six in March. Next, Fundora could face the winner of Jaron “Boots” Ennis vs. Josh Kelly, expected in early 2027.
