Feldman On Till's Next BKFC Appearance
Darren Till remains under contract to BKFC despite exploring opportunities beyond the bare-knuckle promotion, according to president David Feldman.
The former UFC welterweight last appeared in September, outpointing Yoel Romero over five rounds at BKFC 94 in Manchester. That victory followed his promotional debut knockout of Aaron Chalmers six months earlier. Feldman confirmed to MMA Fighting that the organisation holds contractual rights to Till's next several contests but is prepared to let him chase bigger paydays if the right matchup does not materialise soon.
BKFC's Contractual Position On Till
Feldman described his working relationship with Till and his management team as strong, noting the fighter has interest in one or two high-paying opportunities beyond the bare-knuckle circuit. "But we do have options on his next few fights," Feldman said. The president added that a long-term partnership between Till and BKFC remains in place.
Rather than force Till to sit idle for eight or nine months awaiting a suitable opponent, Feldman said the promotion prefers to grant him freedom to compete elsewhere and maintain momentum. He cited a potential bout with Jake Paul as one such possibility, though Paul has since committed to facing Cedric Doumbe in a boxing match.
Plans for Till to face Mike Perry collapsed after Perry announced his exit from BKFC in October. Feldman said he anticipates announcing a fight for Till within two weeks if the promotion secures an appropriate opponent.
