Following President Donald Trump’s announcement that he plans to host a UFC event at the White House in 2026, PFL Chairman Donn Davis is hoping to stage an event there.

The main event that Davis proposed would feature former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou against Vadim Nemkov. Ngannou made his PFL debut, stopping Renan Ferreira in the first round last year. Ngannou is currently without an opponent as he mulls his next move. In chief support, Davis wants undefeated lightweight Usman Nurmagomedov vs. Paul Hughes, with the rest of the card below.

Trump’s initial announcement saw numerous UFC fighters, including Conor McGregor, publicly express their desire to be part of the White House card. However, given Trump has a close relationship with Dana White, there is a strong chance the card could be composed of UFC fighters only.

Reaction

"Happy 4th of July, USA. Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House. I would be honoured! Count me in," McGregor stated

"Does anybody watch UFC? The great Dana White. We’re going to have a UFC fight on the grounds of the White House. We have a lot of land there. Dana’s going to do it. Dana’s great, one of a kind. We’re going to have a UFC fight, a championship fight, like full fight, 20, 25,000 people and we’re going to do that as part of 250 also. We’re going to have some incredible events. Some professional events, some amateur events but the UFC fight’s going to be a big deal, too," Trump said

Davis’ comments have drawn backlash on social media, with many questioning the stature of the PFL. Dana White has long criticized the PFL, refusing to co-promote with them, stating that the UFC is big enough on its own. He also hit out at their ticket sales amid suggestions that the PFL could be struggling financially. While the PFL signed Ngannou in the hope it would propel the promotion further, The Predator’s camp have spoken about a UFC return. That only goes on to harm the PFL’s brand, as fans could not see the PFL staging a White House card.
