Fans React To Paul Vs. Chavez Jr. Open Workout – ‘A Bad Circus'
Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. held their media workouts for their June 28 fight, resulting in a strong reaction.
Paul faces arguably the toughest fight of his career but arrives in good form. He has five consecutive wins, beating Mike Tyson in his last fight. While the Tyson win was expected, the victories against Nate Diaz, Andre August, Ryan Bourland and Mike Perry added some much-needed experience. Chavez Jr. poses a problem for Paul, given his resume. He has been in the ring with the likes of Canelo Alvarez and Danny Jacobs. Although they were losses, he has been at the highest level. He defeated former UFC fighter Uriah Hall in his last bout on the Paul vs. Perry undercard, giving Jake a close look at what he faces. The winner will aim for a world title shot, with Zurdo Ramirez and Badou Jack linked.
"I’ll bet my house on [Chavez winning]. It’s a comeback for Chavez. He needs to put in a lot of effort. He needs to win this fight. I’ll fight Chavez if he wins. That’s a fight that I want too if he looks good. But he has to win … If Jake Paul wins, we have to give him credit. I’ll beat Jake Paul easily. If everything makes sense and the money is right, why not?," Zurdo Ramirez said
"I believe the difference in experience, Chavez’s natural feel for the ring against Paul’s ruthless, undeniable drive to prove himself could be the subtle decider of who wins. So, can Chavez beat Paul? Absolutely. But I don’t think he will," Tim Bradley stated
