Fans React After Strickland Punches Fellow Fighter
Fans have reacted after Sean Strickland lost his cool at a Tuff-N-Uff 145 event, resulting in him punching the fighters.
Strickland has developed a reputation for causing mass controversy. He has been accused of bullying through his tendency to spar and beat up streamers. However, the same can now be said about Sean when it comes to professional fighters. Strickland happened to be in Miles Hunsinger’s corner as he took on Luis Hernandez. Things did not go so well for Hunsinger, as Hernandez secured a second-round stoppage win via a standing guillotine choke submission.
Hernandez did not help himself as he motioned a “crotch chop” at Hunsinger’s corner. It just so happened that Sean was there alongside Curtis Blaydes, as the pair did not take it well. Strickland and Curtis ran into the cage. Strickland loaded a couple of punches on Hernandez before he was separated. Blaydes was also taken away by security as he grabbed Hernandez. There are suggestions that Sean could face disciplinary action, as he was a licenced cornerman for the fight. Strickland has now spoken out in the aftermath, resulting in a strong reaction from the MMA fanbase.
Reaction
"So after the fight, you guys see me corner guys all the time, I’m the first one to shake their hand and say ‘I wish you well, on to the next one’. But after the fight this guy comes up to me, calls me by name, ‘Strickland’, calls me a b—-, says he’s going to f—- me up.
"Does the hand gesture…as a man, I’m not capable not to answer that. If I walk down the street, if I leave my house and somebody says that, my soul will not allow that to not go unanswered. I cannot do it, I cannot f—– do it…If I could go back, would I just not corner the fight? Would I not put myself in that situation? Yes. “But I just don’t have the ability to let a man talk to me like that. Who I am as a person, I will never allow that. So it is what it is, man," Strickland said
