Movsar Evloev plans to rely on his wrestling as often as necessary when he challenges Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title at UFC 333.
The undefeated Russian contender told MMA Junkie he's ready to spam takedowns for the full 25 minutes if that's what it takes to dethrone the 37-year-old Australian champion in Abu Dhabi on October 24th. Volkanovski has promised to stuff the shots and turn the bout into a striking battle, but Evloev dismissed that scenario.

Evloev's Game Plan For Volkanovski At UFC 333
"Even if he's right, I will take him down as much as needed," Evloev said. "If I need to take him down 100 times, even more, I will do it. It's just 25 minutes. I will enjoy each second of this time. Even if I need to take him down every second, I will do it. Nobody will stop me."
The 32-year-old challenger suggested Volkanovski's recent comments about forcing a standup fight were contradictory. Evloev said his striking has improved since his last outing at UFC London, where he dominated Lerone Murphy with grappling, but he'll deploy whatever tactics suit him on fight night.

"I'm not scared of his striking skills, too," Evloev added, per the MMA Junkie interview. "He's great. But like I said, my time is coming. October 24th, everybody will see."
Evloev secured the title shot after being passed over twice in favor of Diego Lopes, who earned stoppage wins while the Russian built his resume on decisions. The bout will headline UFC 333 in the Middle East.
