Dubois Tells Wardley His Adjustments Won't Work

Daniel Dubois expects to finish Fabio Wardley even faster than he did in their first meeting when they run it back on October 17.

Dubois, who knocked out Wardley in their initial bout, told DAZN that no tactical shifts from the British heavyweight will make a difference. "They won't work against me," he said, per Bad Left Hook. "Can make all the changes he wants, I'll have an answer for everything he does."

Dubois Targeting Full Unification

The unbeaten heavyweight called himself the uncrowned king of the division and laid out his goal of collecting every major belt before the run is done. Dubois said ring rust and nerves were gone after his loss to Oleksandr Usyk last year, and that his knockout win over Anthony Joshua cleared those issues for good. "Good fighters need to stay active," he said, "and this is the start of the next chapter of my career."

Wardley has publicly vowed to change his approach for the rematch, but Dubois sees the top 10 as a checklist of good fights waiting to happen. He starts with Wardley next month.
