Dubois In Talks With Parker For January Heavyweight Bout

Daniel Dubois is negotiating a January heavyweight title fight with Joseph Parker, ESPN reports.

The British champion and the New Zealand veteran are working toward a deal that would stage the bout early next year, according to sources close to the talks. No venue or exact date has been confirmed.

Dubois Looks To Defend Belt Against Parker

Dubois captured the IBF heavyweight strap earlier this year and has been seeking a marquee defense. Parker, a former WBO champion, presents a credible challenge with experience at the highest level of the division.

The bout would give Dubois a chance to make a statement in the heavyweight landscape while Parker looks to return to title contention. Both camps are reportedly working through final details with promoters to lock in the January timeline.
