Khamzat Chimaev dominated Dricus Du Plessis to become the UFC Middleweight Champion with a unanimous decision win at UFC 319:

Du Plessis WAS one of the most in form fighters in the UFC. He became the champion by beating Sean Strickland at UFC 297, followed by title defenses against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305 and Strickland again (UFC 312.0. Chimaev was not the most active fighter, but he is undefeated. He had beaten Kamaru Usman and Robert Whittaker in his last two bouts, showing he can beat world champions.
