Drake Bets $850,000 On Logan Paul To Stop Dillon Danis

In today’s boxing news, the rapper Drake has reportedly placed a bet on Logan Paul to beat Dillion Danis.

The duo will face each other on October 14th, 2023, after a fiery pre-fight press conference in which Danis and Paul engaged in a verbal/physical altercation.

During the course of that process, Logan threw a ‘PRIME’ bottle at the MMA fighter as the latter responded by throwing a microphone.

Drake’s Bet

That resulted in Paul suffering a cut on his cheek, as things got heated. In the aftermath of that process, it turns out that Drake had bet $850,000 on Paul to come out victorious by way of a stoppage.

And if the bet does end up going that way, Drake will stand to win a staggering $1,351,500. But in order for that to happen, Paul will only have six rounds to accomplish the feat.

It will be half of a usual boxing bout, but with still the requisite three minute rounds talking place. With that being said, Danis responded to the news with his own stand of defiance.

The MMA star was not best pleased with the bet as the following comments suggested that his aim was to prove the doubters wrong.

"850 on my head is disrespect," Danis said

And yet, in order to upset the odds, Danis must ultimately do something that will require a huge effort. The former has never boxed before, as well as having had issues with inactivity in general due to his knee injuries in the past.

But given everything that Danis and Paul have stated publicly, the pressure will be on both fighters to perform. And there is no getting away from that.

Jake Paul On Danis

At the same time, the bet has clearly raised more attention on the fight that had already garnered a lot of notoriety. Danis’ verbal shots against Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal, began  after sharing posts, suggesting that she had a high body count.

This resulted in legal action being taken by the model. The latter sued Danis and filed for a restraining order to prevent him from posting such images.

The tension has raised the profile of the fight even further, with Danis reaching a million followers on X as a result. Despite that being the case, Jake Paul had a novel take on the matter.

The ‘Problem Child’ suggested that this was all part of a plan to use Danis to generate more money for the fight, with the MMA fighter ultimately being used as a pawn. His following comments confirmed as much.

"It’s attacking Nina, it’s building hype for the fight. He’s creating this whole troll army, creating all of these memes, and this is why Logan picked him because obviously he talks a lot of s—t and he talks so much s—t that Khabib [Nurmagomedov] jumped out of the ring and tried to jump kick him after beating Conor [McGregor]. So, he sells fights and we’ll see if he shows up, but at the end of the day, it’s made this fight massive and what’s crazy about the internet is that like a month ago this was like the biggest thing, it was so crazy, it was everywhere. Now it just like died down. He says that [he can’t post s—t]. I don’t really actually know.

"He was a puppet to sell the fight and he did just that, and when Logan knocks him out and he is in a federal court case (laughs), he’s gonna go bankrupt, and he’s gonna be knocked out. Everyone’s gonna see the loser that the kid is. He had his run, he got his giggles, he got his laughs, he got some clout out of it, but it’s short-lived when it’s not built off something real," Jake Paul stated

Ultimately, there is a lot on the line for the fighters as well as those interested in the event. And with one fighter coming out second best, the betting odds will have to result in either winners or losers.

And hopefully for Drake moving forward, the rapper will be wanting to come out on top. Time will tell how it all plays out moving forward.
