Danis Shares Graphic Aftermath Of Perry Injury

Dillon Danis has posted graphic footage showing the aftermath of the arm injury that forced him out of his scheduled Mike Perry fight last month.

The Bellator veteran was set to face Perry in the main event of Duel Arena 1 in Florida but withdrew hours before the opening bell due to a laceration suffered during fight week. Perry went on to lose to short-notice replacement Brandon Jenkins. Danis had initially shared video of the cut during fight week, but his latest post reveals the full extent of the damage.

Danis Expected Out For Rest Of 2026

BJPenn.com reports that Danis is expected to miss the remainder of 2026 as he recovers from the injury. The 31-year-old last competed in mixed martial arts at Misfits 22 in 2025, where he submitted Warren Spencer in 15 seconds to claim the Misfits MMA heavyweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">light heavyweight title. That bout marked his first cage appearance in six years.

Danis remains active in grappling competition and is scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan next month under the Real American Freestyle banner. He dropped back-to-back wrestling matches to Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev earlier this year.

No timetable has been set for a potential rebooking with Perry, who holds BKFC gold but has competed sporadically in MMA since his UFC departure. Danis is expected to return to combat sports in 2027.
