Diego Pacheco to face Immanuwel Aleem on July 18 DAZN card
Diego Pacheco will return on July 18 against Immanuwel Aleem in a DAZN main event from Carson, California, Bad Left Hook reports. The bout arrives alongside news that the unbeaten middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight has re-signed with Matchroom Boxing.
Pacheco, 25, carries a 25-0 record with 18 knockouts into the fight. He last appeared in December when he recovered from an eighth-round knockdown to outpoint Kevin Sadjo on the cards. Aleem represents a tactical shift after that scare, though his 22-4-3 ledger may undersell the challenge. The 32-year-old has dropped competitive decisions to Lester Martinez, Ronald Ellis, and Amilcar Vidal Jr over the past five years, several on PBC shows where the scoring felt tight.
Risk profile higher than rankings suggest for Pacheco
On form, Aleem can still fight. He took Martinez the distance in March and holds a 2019 draw with Matt Korobov that many observers felt he won. The résumé includes narrow losses that could have gone either way, making this a tougher assignment than Pacheco's ranking would typically demand.
For Aleem, the Carson date offers a last viable shot at world-level relevance. For Pacheco, it is a chance to bounce back cleanly after the Sadjo wobble and build toward bigger Matchroom dates later in the year. The July 18 card streams live on DAZN.
