Davis Pulls Out Of Haney Bout After Rejecting Split
Keyshawn Davis has withdrawn from his challenge of Devin Haney after declining the purse bid terms announced by the WBO on Friday.
The sanctioning body confirmed that Davis will not proceed with the welterweight title shot following disagreement over the financial split, ESPN reports. The lightweight contender had been in line to face Haney for the vacant WBO strap.

The purse bid adjudication established the revenue distribution for both fighters, but Davis's camp rejected the offer. The WBO will now move forward with alternative options to fill the vacant welterweight title bout.
Haney, the former unified lightweight champion who moved up to 147 pounds, had been expected to meet Davis in what would have been a significant welterweight clash. The bout will now require a new challenger to emerge through the WBO rankings.
