Danis On Perry's Upset Loss To Jenkins

Dillon Danis delivered a blunt two-word reaction after Mike Perry lost via first-round TKO to Brandon Jenkins at Duel Arena 1 on August 30.

Danis and Perry were scheduled to meet in the main event but Danis pulled out citing an arm injury. Perry took aim at his former opponent on social media before accepting a short-notice replacement in Jenkins, who stopped the bare-knuckle star in the opening frame after Perry dislocated his shoulder during the exchange.

Danis Roasts Perry After Shocking Finish

Danis wasted no time weighing in on the result. "Bum fight," he wrote on X, per BJPenn.com. The injury appeared to dictate the outcome, with Perry visibly in pain before the referee waved off the contest. Jenkins pushed back against the notion that the finish was purely circumstantial, claiming credit for the damage on Instagram Stories. "Everyone wants to talk about the shoulder, but nobody wants to talk about the clean elbow I landed that probably caused the dislocation," Jenkins said.

Jenkins called for a rematch with Perry at 170 pounds or a fight with Nate Diaz, according to Bloody Elbow. Perry had been riding momentum after his emphatic TKO win over Diaz at MVP MMA 1 earlier this year, and BKFC was targeting a bout with Darren Till before the Jenkins setback.

Perry will need time to recover from the shoulder injury before any future booking is confirmed. The loss marks his first defeat since returning to MMA competition after a successful run in bare-knuckle boxing.
