Dana White handed out six UFC contracts after Week 2 of the Contender Series on Tuesday, a rare haul that included one fighter who lost his bout.
Roman Puga beat Taner Trembley by unanimous decision in a featherweight war that saw both men wobble each other repeatedly. White had already decided to sign Puga when matchmaker Sean Shelby lobbied for Trembley as well. "It takes two to make a great fight," White said afterward, per Sherdog. "And this fight was absolutely incredible. And because it was such a great fight, I got to see so much well-roundedness and toughness from both guys."

White admitted the stoppage looked early but said the upset was enough to earn a deal. Trent Miller, a +270 underdog at middleweight, put Douglas Henrique Rodrigues to sleep with a Von Flue choke in the second round for his contract. Miller was making his second Contender Series appearance after failing to impress in his debut.
Lightweight Cristian Perez dismantled Logan Paxton en route to a second-round finish and immediately received an offer to compete at Noche UFC 4 in September. Kaik Brito closed the card by knocking Namo Fazil unconscious with a right hand in the third round of the welterweight main event, three years after his first failed Contender Series bid in 2023.
