Dana White Denies Banning De La Hoya From Garcia Fight

Dana White says he had nothing to do with Oscar De La Hoya's absence from Saturday's Ryan Garcia–Conor Benn card in Las Vegas.

De La Hoya, whose Golden Boy Promotions represents Garcia, did not attend the Zuffa Boxing event at which his fighter stopped Benn in the second round. Boxing reporter Dan Rafael noted on X that De La Hoya was denied credentials for the show, per BJPenn.com. White addressed the claim after the fight.

White On His Rivalry With De La Hoya

"I do not like De La Hoya and De La Hoya does not like me," White told reporters, as MMA Fighting first reported. "I would never disrespect him and say, 'Oh, he shows up here and we treat him like [badly].' I would call him on the phone and say, 'Hey, don't show up to this event because we're not going to treat you well.' That was not the case. Why he didn't show up, I don't know."

White and De La Hoya have feuded for years, with tension rising after the UFC president entered boxing promotion. Garcia's win came over a Zuffa Boxing acquisition, a result many believe De La Hoya welcomed.

Garcia is now targeting a title unification with Teofimo Lopez.
