Dana White Shoots Down Kellerman's Fury-Joshua Claim

Dana White has dismissed Max Kellerman's characterization of his role in the Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight, telling reporters he does not know where the claim originated.

During a recent Zuffa Boxing broadcast, Kellerman told viewers White's involvement in the Dec. 11 heavyweight bout would be limited to assisting Turki Alalshikh in a personal capacity rather than as a promoter, as MMA Fighting reported. Kellerman described White's contribution as purely advisory, with Alalshikh — the chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority — continuing to drive the promotion.

White's Role Remains Unclear Despite Kellerman Comment

White rejected that framing when asked about it by media members. "I don't know where that came from," he said, per BJ Penn.com. "That was weird. We're promoting the fight right now." White added a profanity-laced criticism of Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn, who has publicly opposed White's participation under the terms of an initial agreement.

Hearn secured a key concession earlier this month when the bout was confirmed for Cardiff instead of the United States, where White's Zuffa Boxing operates. The fight is scheduled for Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium.

Alalshikh announced the date and location last week after months of negotiations between the parties. White's exact promotional capacity remains a source of friction heading into the final stretch of the build.
