Dana White denounces Josh Hokit remarks about Michelle Obama

Tom Rashid
UFC & MMA Lead Writer ·

UFC president Dana White has condemned bantamweight Josh Hokit after the fighter posted derogatory comments about former First Lady Michelle Obama on social media.

Hokit questioned Obama's gender in a post asking "Michelle Obama is a man… am I right America?" according to Sherdog. White swiftly distanced the promotion from the remarks.

White's Response to Hokit's Social Media Post

"I Hate That Kind of Nonsense," White said in response to the controversy, per the report.

The incident marks another headache for the UFC as it navigates the intersection of fighter conduct and social media. Hokit, who competes at 135 pounds, has not issued a public statement since White's denunciation.

The promotion has yet to announce whether Hokit will face disciplinary action beyond White's public rebuke.
