Conor McGregor makes weight for UFC 329 return vs Holloway

Conor McGregor stepped on the scale Friday in Las Vegas and made weight for his first fight in nearly five years.

The former two-division champion came in at 170.5 pounds for his welterweight rematch against Max Holloway at UFC 329, according to MMA Fighting. Holloway registered at 170. Both fighters used the one-pound allowance permitted for non-title bouts. McGregor last competed at UFC 264 in July 2021, when he broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier.

McGregor's rocky road back to the octagon

The Irishman was scheduled to return against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June 2024 but withdrew with a toe injury. He first beat Holloway in August 2013, when both were featherweight prospects. McGregor has also dealt with legal issues outside the cage, including being found liable for sexual assault in a civil suit in November 2024, per the report.

Co-main event lightweights Benoit Saint Denis and Paddy Pimblett both hit 156 pounds. Bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Mario Bautista registered at 135.5. All 28 fighters on Saturday's card successfully made weight at T-Mobile Arena.

UFC 329 airs Saturday on Paramount+, with the main card starting at 9 p.m. ET.
