Chris Algieri says Conor Benn's drawn appearance ahead of his September 12 fight with Ryan Garcia has him questioning how much Benn will have left in the tank at 147 pounds.

Algieri, who was knocked out by Benn in the fourth round back in December 2021, points to Benn's prior struggle to make 149 against Regis Prograis as a warning sign for a fight requiring an even lower number. His worry is less about whether Benn can hit the mark on the scale and more about what's left once he gets there — enough strength and power to close distance, absorb Garcia's counters, and still do damage.

Algieri credits Benn's willingness to push forward and sees an opening given Garcia's inconsistent form, but says that opportunity means little if Benn's own conditioning limits what he can do once he's inside.
