Chael Sonnen Blames Mark Hunt's Attorney For The Failed Dana White/UFC Lawsuit

In the MMA latest updates, Chael Sonnen has hit out Mark Hunt’s attorney following the news that the latter’s lawsuit against the UFC and Dana White had been dismissed.
According to reports, Hunt had alleged that White may have misled him into thinking that Brock Lesnar was not using any performance-enhancing drugs.
This was in reference to when Lesnar fought Hunt at UFC 200. During the course of that process, Lesnar was given an exemption which allowed him to bypass USADA testing.
Thereafter, he beat Hunt to secure a win. However, in the aftermath, Lesnar tested positive for more than one banned substance. As a result, he was suspended for one year, as well as seeing the win being overturned to a no-contest.
That resulted in Hunt filing a lawsuit in 2017, which was dismissed only for it to come up again via an appeal. However, it ultimately failed as District Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey dismissed it.
Hunt’s Lawsuit Dismissed
"In sum, each of Hunt’s fraud theories requires far too many inferential leaps and ignores too much contrary evidence for a jury to reasonably find in his favor, particularly by clear and convincing evidence. Despite extensive briefing and oral argument, Hunt has been unable to provide the necessary evidentiary support for his theories. So I grant summary judgment in favor of the defendants and again close this case," Dorsey said
In response, White did not hold back on Hunt by slamming the former UFC fighter for filing the suit anyway.
White Responds To Hunt
"Despite extensive briefing and oral argument, Hunt has been unable to provide the necessary evidentiary support for his theories. So I grant summary judgment in favor of the defendants and again close this case..Listen, Mark Hunt, he has lost so many lawsuits against us it’s insane. He’s a bit of a delusional guy. He’s gonna have to pay some legal fees," White stated
And now that the dust has settled down, Sonnen had his own thoughts on the matter. He was very critical of Hunt’s attorney on the grounds that his client’s case was based on speculation.
Sonnen Gives His Take
Therefore, without having a solid foundation in which Hunt could have gotten damages, Sonnen implied that the attorney’s intentions may not have been in line with his client.
And given that Hunt did lose the lawsuit, he has now burnt any bridges that he had with the UFC. And in doing so, it may detract other fighters from being so vocal about their grievances.
"It was a tough argument. And if Mark took this pro bono and he got some fun and he got a little pleasure out of this and he got a couple of digs in for what he’s really upset about – which was being set up and having to fight Brock in the first place – if he got a couple of digs, more power to him. If an attorney told him ‘I can win this case,’ and took his money, that attorney’s a crook," Sonnen stated
