Jack Catterall dropped Regis Prograis twice to win a one-sided unanimous decision: 117-108, 116-109, 116-109.

It was another big win for Catterall following his unanimous decision victory against Josh Taylor in his last fight. Both fighters knew they could take a step closer to a world title shot. Regis vowed to bounce back from his previous defeat against Devin Haney, stating that it was simply a bad night at the office. The fight had little action in the first two rounds. Both men were trying to work their way into the fight. Catterall was in the southpaw stance, trying to keep Regis at bay with a probing jab. Meanwhile, Regis was trying to take control of the centre as he did connect with a scoring left in the second.

In the third, Catterall found some success. He connected with a sharp left hand near the end of the round. Prograis’ biggest success came in the fifth. He connected with a left hand on more than one occasion, buzzing Catterall. Near the end of the fifth, he landed a jab that put Catterall off balance. The Brit touched the canvas with his glove, resulting in a knockdown in a big round for Regis. Prograis was in confident mood going into the second half of the fight.

Regis continued to attack, but it was Catterall who was having the better success. He was fighting on the back foot, picking Regis off at will. In round nine, he hit Prograis with a left hand that dropped him. While Prograis got back up, he was dropped in the same round again, in a massive shift in momentum.

"Jack was just better, that’s all. Jack was the better man, I’m not gonna lie. He definitely deserves a world title fight next. Good luck Jack. You’re really good. I’ve fought the best and you were the best out of all of them," Prograis
