Castro Loses Second DWCS Shot On Visa Issues

Undefeated Brazilian bantamweight Frank da Silva Castro has lost his second chance to compete on Dana White's Contender Series after being pulled from the Sept. 8 card due to visa issues, Sherdog reports.

Castro, who holds an 8-0-1 record, was originally booked against An Tuan Ho on DWCS last year but withdrew for undisclosed reasons. Eduardo Henrique stepped in as his replacement. The 22-year-old earned another opportunity after recording a victory on the regional circuit earlier this year.

Christian Natvidad Steps In For Week 5 Bout

Castro was scheduled to face Colton Loud in Week 5 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Christian Natvidad, who carries a 9-0 record, will now replace him opposite Loud, according to an Instagram post from Elite Fight Team confirming the matchup change.

The setback leaves Castro needing to return to the regional scene while he resolves his visa complications. At 22, the Brazilian prospect still has time to secure a UFC contract through future performances outside the promotion.
