Carl Froch tells John Fury to sign contract or 'shut the f— up'
Carl Froch has told John Fury to sign a fight contract or stop talking after the 61-year-old issued another challenge over the weekend.
Fury reignited the feud at Tommy Fury's Misfits Boxing bout with Eddie Hall, raising the prospect of facing Froch during the post-fight press conference with promoter Kalle Sauerland. Video later surfaced of Fury punching walls backstage while shouting about the former middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight champion, Bad Left Hook reported.
Froch fired back in a video posted online, calling Fury a bully and questioning whether he would follow through this time. "Listen up, and listen closely, because I want you to get this into your thick f***ing skull," Froch said. "This has been going on for too long. I saw you punching the wall the other day. Walls don't hit back. You're a f***ing bully."
Froch claims Fury vanished after previous offer
The Nottingham native said negotiations fell apart months ago when Fury reportedly priced himself out after initially being offered £1.5 million. Froch told Bad Left Hook he had already agreed to terms through Sauerland and Misfits Boxing's Mams Taylor when Fury allegedly backed away. "Almost everything was pretty much agreed on my side," Froch said, adding that Fury "disappeared" after the offer went back to him.
Froch also addressed personal comments Fury made, including calling him an embarrassment to Nottingham. "When he boxed pro, he spent more time with his ass on the canvas than on his feet," Froch said of Fury's professional record.
Whether the fight materializes remains unclear. Fury has called out multiple fighters over the years without any bout being finalized, and Froch closed his response by saying he's ready to put the bully in his place — if Fury signs the contract.
