BBC Sport's Born to Brawl series features Pimblett, Shields, Eubank Jr
BBC Sport has released a 13-episode documentary series tracking boxers and mixed martial arts fighters at pivotal points in their careers, the broadcaster announced this week.
The series, titled Born to Brawl, offers viewers access to the personal stories of athletes including undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields, UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett, and middleweight contender Chris Eubank Jr. Each episode follows a single fighter in their own words during a crucial stretch, whether preparing for a debut, mounting a comeback, or navigating life outside the ring.
What the Born to Brawl episodes cover
Shields discusses her path from Flint, Michigan to world titles across multiple weight classes. Eubank Jr addresses the pressure of carrying his father's legacy in British boxing. Pimblett's episode captures his UFC debut in Las Vegas after he turned down offers from the promotion twice earlier in his career.
Other featured athletes include Olympic bronze medalist Cindy Ngamba, who fled persecution as a refugee before settling in Bolton, and heavyweight Tom Aspinall, who went from having twenty pounds in his bank account to headlining UFC events as interim champion. Former world featherweight titleholder Josh Warrington appears in an episode filmed around his rematch with Leigh Wood, which he described at the time as a make-or-break fight in Leeds.
The series also profiles lesser-known names positioning for breakthrough moments. Dennis McCann, a traveller boxer Tyson Fury publicly backed as a future star, and Aadam and Sami Hamed, sons of former world champion Naseem Hamed, both appear. The Hamed brothers turned professional without amateur records, attempting to follow their father's unorthodox route to success.
All episodes are available to stream now on BBC Sport's platform.
