BoMac Shuts Down Crawford Comeback Talk
Terence Crawford's recent gym appearance was not a prelude to a comeback, according to his long-time trainer Brian "BoMac" McIntyre — it was simply a man who loves the environment he helped build, showing up to support a teammate.
Crawford was spotted training in camp ahead of Lester Martinez's (20-0-1, 16 KOs) August 29th fight against Luka Plantic at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles. McIntyre was quick to cool the speculation.
"He just wanted to come out and get some work in to see where he is at and to have some fun with Lester," McIntyre said. "Terence has always been a big supporter of Lester, and he has come out to show him a few things and work out with him for a few days,” Bomac
Crawford retired after a decision win over Canelo Alvarez in 2025, capping a professional career that saw him win world championships across five weight classes, with victories over Errol Spence Jr., Israil Madrimov and Canelo among the highlights. McIntyre says that chapter is firmly closed.
"Bud is done. He has said he is done, and I respect his decision. I want him to be done because he had nothing left to prove in the sport. But I love having him around the other fighters to motivate them. They are all trying to get to the pinnacle of the sport where he got to. He just wants to stay in shape,” Bomac
