Bo Nickal Draws Olympic Champion For RAF Moscow
UFC middleweight Bo Nickal has landed an Olympic-level test for his next wrestling appearance.
Nickal will face Shirvani Muradov at RAF Moscow on Sept. 5, MMA Mania reports. Muradov captured gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics and now competes at 41 years old. The match streams on FOX Nation and follows Nickal's bout with Max McEnelly in Cleveland later this month.
Chimaev Headlines Card Nickal Shares
The 30-year-old Nickal lands on a card topped by Khamzat Chimaev, who wrestles former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in a catchweight headliner. Nickal and Chimaev have traded barbs for years and could eventually meet on the RAF mats or inside the UFC cage.
Other bouts include Anatoly Malykhin against Pouya Rahmani at heavyweight, Yusuf Raisov versus Marif Piraev at middleweight, and Jordan Burroughs taking on Russia's Magomed Kurbanaliev in middleweight action. Nickal returns to Real American Freestyle after his recent White House win kept his wrestling schedule active between UFC commitments.
