BKFC 92 at Fenway Park: Stewart vs. Gigliotti set for Aug. 29

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship will stage its biggest outdoor show yet at Fenway Park in Boston on Aug. 29.

The promotion announced the card on Sunday, with featherweight champion Kai Stewart defending his title against New England's Harry Gigliotti in the main event. No other bouts have been confirmed, though MMA Mania reported that BKFC president Dave Feldman expects to stack the lineup with local and East Coast fighters.

Feldman calls Gigliotti 'toughest challenge' for Stewart

Feldman called the pairing one of the most ambitious in the promotion's history. "Fighting at Fenway Park against a Boston sports superstar in Harry Gigliotti, who is also on a tremendous roll over the last three years, is the toughest challenge of Stewart's career," he said in the release.

The show marks BKFC's first venture into the famed ballpark. The organization has already scheduled outdoor events in Sturgis and other cities earlier in the summer, but the Fenway date is expected to draw the largest crowd. BKFC co-owner Conor McGregor recently suggested a broadcast deal with FOX may be in place for the promotion's upcoming slate.

Stewart has defended his belt against top-ranked contenders from multiple regions. Gigliotti, a Massachusetts native, enters on a multi-year winning streak and will carry the hometown support when he steps into the circle at one of baseball's most storied venues.
