BKB 56 weigh-ins: Ortiz, Salcido on weight for LA debut
Victor Ortiz and Dominic Salcido both hit the welterweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super welterweight limit for Saturday's BKB 56 headliner in Los Angeles. The former WBC titleholder and his opponent each weighed 153.6 pounds at Friday's official scales, per MMA Mania.
Bare Knuckle Boxing makes its Los Angeles debut at The Novo at LA Live, with 13 bouts scheduled across multiple weight classes. The card airs live on VICE TV in the United States and Canada starting at 7 p.m. PT, with talkSPORT carrying the broadcast in the UK and Ireland.

In the co-main event, former UFC Featherweight title challenger Alfredo Angulo came in at 168.8 pounds against Rashad Bowens at 166 for a middleweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super middleweight bout. Henry Corrales, another UFC veteran making the bare knuckle transition, weighed 154.4 for his welterweight/" class="internal-link text-bone underline decoration-ash/30 hover:decoration-gold underline-offset-2">super welterweight clash with Ihor Blazhenko at 153.8.
The heavyweight matchup between Jesse Sparks and Darius Lesane showed the largest weight gap on the card. Sparks tipped the scales at 256.4 pounds while Lesane checked in more than 40 pounds lighter at 214. In the women's lightweight division, Jackie Cataline weighed 135 to Alexa Gracias' 134.4.
BKB held its final press conference Friday evening ahead of the event, which marks the promotion's first show in the City of Angels. The organization previously announced a September 19 debut in Tijuana, Mexico, continuing its international expansion beyond its established U.S. markets.
