Bella Mir Battles Apodaca In Contender Series Return

Bella Mir headlines UFC Contender Series on Tuesday night when she takes on Alex Apodaca in the Season 10 Episode 3 main event.

Mir, the 4-0 daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, steps into the Apex against Apodaca, who carries a 3-1 record into the bantamweight showcase. The card streams on Paramount+ at 7 p.m. ET from the Palace Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, according to MMA Mania.

Four Fighters Earn First-Round Finishes On Undercard

The preliminary card delivered four stoppages before the second round. CFFC welterweight champion Nick Galanti knocked out Carlos Petruzzella at the 35-second mark. Ronald Humphrey submitted Alexis Miranda with a rear-naked choke at 4:03 of the opening frame. Scottish prospect Sean Clancy Jr., unbeaten through eight fights, stopped former BKFC competitor Gary Balletto via ground elbows midway through the second round.

The co-main event saw Guilherme Uriel finish Mario Piazzon with a standing guillotine choke 50 seconds into their heavyweight rematch. Both fighters had appeared on previous Contender Series episodes.

Dana White hands out UFC contracts at the conclusion of each episode to prospects who impress during the 10-week showcase. Episode 3 marks the third consecutive Tuesday of action from the promotion's development series.
