BBC Releases Born To Brawl Episodes On Shields And Eubank Jr

BBC Sport has made its Born to Brawl documentary series available, profiling 14 boxers and MMA fighters at pivotal career moments.

The collection includes episodes on undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields, Chris Eubank Jr, and UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett. Shields discusses her path from Flint, Michigan, to the top of women's boxing. Eubank Jr covers the pressures of fighting under his father's legacy. Pimblett's installment chronicles his Las Vegas UFC debut against Luigi Vendramini after twice declining earlier offers from the promotion.

Other subjects include UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, who went from near-poverty to headlining cards, and Natasha Jonas, who captured three world titles at 37. Refugee boxer Cindy Ngamba details her journey from Bolton to an Olympic medal. Savannah Marshall recounts working through social anxiety and preparing for her historic showdown with Shields.

The series also features Muhammad Mokaev, who fled Dagestan as a child before building an MMA career in Britain, and Dennis McCann, the traveller fighter Tyson Fury has tipped for stardom. Aadam and Sami Hamed, sons of former featherweight champion Naseem Hamed, appear in an episode about turning pro with no amateur background.

Every episode runs on BBC Sport's digital platforms. The format gives fighters control of their own narratives, filming them in training camps, at home, and around fight week without third-party commentary.
