Bautista Submits Oliveira With Second-Round Choke

Mario Bautista secured a second-round finish over Vinicius Oliveira in their bantamweight clash at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

The main event began as a tactical battle before Bautista overpowered his man. The fighters traded kicks early, but the momentum shifted when Bautista secured a timed double-leg takedown. Although Oliveira stayed active from his guard and attempted a leg lock, Bautista ended the round in dominant top position, raining down strikes to steal the round.

In the second, Oliveira opened with pressure, but Bautista quickly neutralized him with another takedown. Despite multiple scrambles back to his feet, Oliveira appeared visibly drained. The end came at 4:46 of the second round. After a slick transition into a crucifix, Bautista forced Oliveira to scramble. As the Brazilian exploded to escape, Bautista transitioned to his back, locked in a tight rear-naked choke, and forced the immediate tap.
