Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy's staredown ahead of UFC 331 has social media questioning whether the promotion's official height measurements are accurate.
The UFC lists Tsarukyan at 5'7" and Ruffy at 5'11" — a four-inch gap that did not appear reflected when the fighters came face-to-face in Los Angeles this week to promote their co-main event Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena, MMA Mania reports. Video of the encounter showed the fighters standing nearly eye-to-eye, prompting speculation about shoe lifts and boosted stats.

Social Media Reacts To Height Discrepancy
One widely-liked comment suggested the promotion needs to verify fighter measurements again, while another joked that Tsarukyan wore sneakers to close the gap. A third post speculated about "height boosters." The discussion drew dozens of responses across platforms, with fans debating whether the discrepancy mattered for the fight itself.
Former UFC champion Khamzat Chimaev, who trains with Tsarukyan, told Adam Zubayraev that Ruffy is one of the best strikers in the UFC right now but that the fighters operate at "completely different levels" in wrestling and grappling. "Arman is very good on the feet," Chimaev said, per Sherdog. "Arman feels very confident on the feet."

Tsarukyan remains a sizable betting favorite despite the social media chatter. UFC 331 airs Saturday from Los Angeles.
