Alex Pereira's younger sister Aline will compete for a UFC contract on Dana White's Contender Series in October.
As first reported by MMA journalist Leo Guimaraes, Aline Pereira faces Smilla Sundell on the October 13 DWCS event. Sundell, who holds a 2-0 MMA record after two Tuff 'N Uff wins, previously competed as a Muay Thai fighter in ONE Championship. The matchup pairs two kickboxing specialists in what should be a striking-heavy affair.

From GLORY Standout to UFC Hopeful
Aline Pereira enters the bout with a 3-2 MMA record. She most recently beat Jade Masson-Wong by split decision on the Ronda Rousey versus Gina Carano undercard, with her brother Alex coaching from the corner. The former GLORY competitor has followed a similar path to her two-division UFC champion sibling, who rose from kickboxing to MMA stardom before his recent heavyweight debut loss to Ciryl Gane.
The October card also features undefeated middleweights Davi Cabral and Douglas da Lapa. Alex Pereira's next fight remains unscheduled, though a return at Madison Square Garden or UFC 335 in December could be possible as he continues his heavyweight run.
