Alex Pereira buys sister Aline house in Connecticut on his birthday
Alex Pereira bought his sister a house on his own birthday. The UFC heavyweight gave Aline Pereira a Connecticut property near their Teixeira MMA & Fitness training base on July 7, according to sources close to the situation first reported by Sherdog.
Aline, who defends her Karate Combat flyweight title against Juliana Velasquez on July 24 in Miami, shared the news in an Instagram story that has since been removed. "There are gifts that change a life. Today, you gave me one of them," she wrote. "Thank you, little brother, for so much love and generosity."
Aline Pereira's Karate Combat title defense looms
The 35-year-old captured the Karate Combat 125-pound belt in July 2025 by decision over Fani Peloumpi. She has moved between kickboxing, Karate Combat and MMA since her LFA debut in 2022, most recently beating Jade Masson-Wong at MVP MMA in May. All four of her professional MMA bouts have reached the judges.
Her brother suffered the first heavyweight loss of his UFC career in June at the White House event, stopped by Ciryl Gane for the interim title. Pereira had attempted to become the promotion's first three-division champion after holding gold at middleweight and light heavyweight. He has indicated he will campaign at heavyweight for at least one more fight.
Aline's title defense against Velasquez, another former MMA fighter, goes down at Karate Combat 62 on July 24.
