Alessandro Costa replaces injured Ode Osbourne at UFC 329
Alessandro Costa will replace the injured Ode Osbourne against Cody Durden at UFC 329 on July 11 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Sherdog confirmed Wednesday.
Osbourne pulled out of the flyweight bout weeks ago after completing an eight-week training camp. The withdrawal left Durden without an opponent on the card headlined by Conor McGregor's return against Max Holloway.
Costa brings momentum into short-notice bout
Costa brings a 16-5 record and consecutive wins over Stewart Nicoll and Matt Schnell into the matchup. The Brazilian holds a 4-3 mark inside the Octagon.
Durden ended a four-fight skid with a victory over Jafel Filho on April 25. The 18-10 flyweight needed the bounce-back after losses had threatened his UFC tenure.
The main card streams on Paramount+ at 9 p.m. ET, with early prelims starting at 5 p.m. ET and featuring a flyweight bout between Tracy Cortez and Cong Wang.
