McGregor Plans To Fight Chandler In December - 'Return Of The Mac'

Conor McGregor says he will likely fight Michael Chandler in December for a potential UFC 310 clash.

The Notorious was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29. However, McGregor pulled out due to a broken toe. That meant McGregor had not fought since his 2021 loss to Dustin Poirier. The Irishman has two fights left on his UFC deal and plans to fight in BKFC once he retires.

“For me, I’ve got a bit of business left with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, two fights left on my contract. But for sure we have three lightweights up here and I have my eye on all of this. I’m not here up here just as a knower, player-manager I’d title myself on this. That’s me. I am coming to the end of my contract. I have two fights left. This is a very, very exciting organization here. How could you not?

“How could you not look to become a two-sport world champion in something as wild as a bareknuckle fighting organization. We’ve got the money, too. We’ve got the dough. This is big payouts here, also – big pay, big shows, big news, and a coveted world title in a wild and dangerous game. For any real fighter out there, that’s all you want to hear. Money, power, respect – Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has it all,” McGregor said

McGregor’s Return

He expected to be ready by September, putting him in line for an appearance at The Sphere on September 14. But Sean O’Malley will headline against Merab Dvalishvili, meaning McGregor has turned his attention towards a fight at the back end of the year.

Elsewhere, McGregor has addressed his tension with O’Malley. McGregor fired some verbal shots at the UFC Bantamweight Champion after Ryan Garcia tested positive for Ostarine. The boxer was banned for a year as his Devin Haney win was overturned. McGregor reacted by wanting a lifetime ban for Garcia as he bashed O’Malley too. Sean failed a test for Ostarine in 2019 and received a six-month ban. McGregor called the pair juiceheads and requested that they spar with each other.

McGregor Vs. O’Malley

“Cheated the weight and was juiced, lifetime ban. Sad to see, sad to say. Sad and a bit sick. Don’t come near me if I see you ever Ryan Garcia. I am actually disgusted. This Ostarine it reminds me of Sean o malley was on that as well. I don’t like this, I’ll bust yous both up, do yous want a spar I will set flights right now for you both for a full on spar each.

“Hotel, black forge inn the lot. #letssparomalley and #garcia two little ostarine heads I’ll ride you both like yous are ostriches…What do you think you are at ? If I was Haney’s dad you’re dead no matter what for doing that. Crazy…You little fool. Get your head together cos I gonna smash it in with elbows if you don’t. Fair play Devin well done. Your performance has just become even more heroic! Bravo,” McGregor stated

O’Malley hit back by referring to McGregor as a drug addict. He also backed himself to beat McGregor, which has forced the Irishman to react after O’Malley reacted to Conor’s sparring.

“Throw the same shot on the pads and let’s see your version, lad. That would unalive…for real, that shot. It’s nice work, cheer up,” McGregor stated
