McGregor Hints At A $250 Million Logan Paul Fight Deal

Conor McGregor has hinted that there is a deal in place to fight Logan Paul next.

McGregor first confirmed the rumors, saying he was in discussions to box Paul in India. It would be an exhibition, marking his second boxing fight after facing Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather knocked out McGregor in 2017 in the tenth round. Meanwhile, the Irishman’s UFC career has suffered huge setbacks. He has lost three out of his last four UFC fights, the latest of which was against Dustin Poirier. McGregor was stopped in the first round. He also broke his leg, something which has kept him out since then.

His comeback plans have also been disrupted. He withdrew from his UFC 303 against Michael Chandler with a broken toe. His UFC future is uncertain after he was found liable in a civil sexual lawsuit. Nikita Hand accused him of sexual assault, and McGregor was ordered to pay her approximately $258,000. That leaves a boxing fight on the cards. Reports indicate a deal has been agreed to face Paul, worth $250 million. This would be at the Wankhede Stadium as part of the ‘Visit India’ initiative. McGregor has now hinted that those rumors are true.

McGregor Reacts

Despite this, fans ultimately want to see McGregor return to the Octagon. The Irishman has been linked with several names, such as Dan Hooker, while he has also had a feud ongoing with UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria. The latter stopped Max Holloway at UFC 308 to give Blessed the first stoppage defeat of his career. Topuria and McGregor have been linked with a fight. Ilia has said he is keen on moving up to lightweight, although his primary target is Islam Makhachev

Topuria recalled meeting McGregor for the first time at UFC 264. McGregor faced Poirier as he lost that fight. Topuria also fought on the card, knocking Ryan Hall out to remain undefeated. Just before the fights took place, Topuria recalled his trainer seeing McGregor.

Topuria On McGregor

Topuria’s trainer said that he picked up a bad vibe and predicted that McGregor would lose in a bad fashion. And although Topuria has drawn comparisons with McGregor, the featherweight champion appears keen on distancing himself from anything that McGregor represents. Topuria even went so far as to state that he felt an aura from hell.

“He might be an excellent person, and I perceived his energy in a different way from what it is. He simply came to work, put on a show. But the feeling I had when he was around was, ‘Keep him away!’ Keep him away.

“Because you can be Conor McGregor and act however you want, but no one is above me, only God, you know what I’m saying? Congratulations on your career, I respect it. But don’t tell me a thing because I’ll take your head off. Just a terrible energy. I swear it felt like his aura came from hell. I wanted to be away from this dude, he had a black energy I have never felt before,” Topuria said
