Max Holloway sent the Korean Zombie, Chan Sung Jung, into retirement with a third-round stoppage.
Prior to the fight, Jung had hinted that his could be his last bout. And so it was but the Korean failed to go out on a positive note.
Both fighters attempted to establish their dominance, as they exchanged left-hands early on in a fast-paced round.
The Korean was looking to come in by shortening the range, but this did cost him in the first round. Holloway landed a right hand that sent him an early warning.
As the fight moved towards the cage, they exchanged blows as Holloway worked the body against the 36-year-old Jung.

In the second round, the Korean managed to avoid a takedown from Holloway as he stayed on his feet. In response, Jung increased the pressure but his progress was hampered by the counters that kept coming his way.

And before you know it, the third round ended the fight. Holloway connected with a right hand just as Jung was setting up an attack.
Jung hit the floor with the referee immediately stopping the fight. That would be the Korean’s last action in a cage as he confirmed his retirement in the aftermath.
Holloway’s Comments
“Give it up for ‘Korean Zombie,’ this guy’s a f****** legend. He’s ‘The Korean Zombie’ for a reason. I’m just lucky my right hand landed before his.
“I can’t even talk about the fight right now. Only thing on my mind is Lahaina, Maui. This one is for you guys. If you guys can, please on Instagram, share to the world and help my fellow Hawaiians. It really means a lot,” Holloway
Jung’s Comments
“I’m going to stop fighting. I’ve always aimed to become a champion when I first started the sport. I’m not here to be ranked third, fourth or fifth. I tried my absolute best to prepare for Max Holloway.
“I really, really believed I could beat him but I ended up failing so I don’t think I have the opportunity anymore. I think I’m going to stop fighting,” Jung
