Kompet Fairtex wakes up every day with the painful memory of losing his debut in ONE. Over the past year-and-a-half, Kompet has been piling up victories over any man attempting to hand him a second defeat. During a 127-point Muay Thai catchweight bout with Omar El Halabi, Kompet fired off a high volume of strikes to pick up his fifth straight victory.

Kompet set the pace early in the fight by landing strikes with the future in mind. He fired off many stiff leg kicks to limit El Halabi’s movement. When El Halabi started to focus on avoiding the leg kicks, Kompet attacked with right hooks.

The first round set the pace for the entire fight. Anyone looking at MMAfighting latest news will see that El Halabi never found an answer to Kompet’s game plan. While Kompet never allowed El Halabi to land his countershots, he could never put the Lebanese fighter down, either.

El Halabi fell to 1-3 in ONE and will need some soul-searching before taking another step up in competition.

Buakhiao Por Paoin Has to Work for 79th Career Win

Buakhiao Por Paoin knows that there has to be pain before glory. While Buakhiao secured a comfortable unanimous decision victory over Petgarfield Jitmuangnon, it was far from a perfect performance. The fight saw both men have their moments, according to online boxing news.

This has been part of a steady process for Buakhaio to regain his confidence. He suffered his first knockout loss in February, losing in 59 seconds to Deniz Demirkapu. During this fight, however, Buakhaio set the pace.

In the first round, Buakhaio landed a right elbow that sent Petgarfield to the canvas. While Petgarfield was bleeding heavily, he never stopped competing. During the second and third rounds, Petgarfield answered nearly all of Buakhaio’s offense with strikes of their own.

Buakhaio earned a unanimous decision win to improve to 3-1 in ONE.

Nuapet Introduces Himself to ONE Audience

If you want to get the audience’s attention, there are a few ways to capture the audience’s attention, like a knockout win. Nuapet Tded99 didn’t do it in a flash. But the Thai fighter secured a knockout during the third round of his debut fight with Petphupa Aekpujean.

But Nuapet’s strategy may not have been based on him pushing the action. Instead, Petphupa came out and put the pressure on the first-time fighter. While this may have given Nuapet some pause early in the fight, he quickly figured out how to handle the pressure.

The best MMA news sites show that Nuapet answered the pressure with hard kicks. In the third round, Petphupa attempted to answer the increased aggression with kicks of his own. However, Nuapet was able to answer an attempted body kick with a left hook that put Petphupa down for good.

Pansak Picks Up Win in Trilogy Fight

The hope for Pansak Wor Wantawee was that he had enough variety to settle the score with an old rival. During Pansak’s career, he has developed a rivalry with Dieselnoi Liamthanawat. The boxing news latest headlines show that Pansak has met Diseselnoi in fights outside of ONE.

While Pansak debuted with a loss in ONE, things have steadily improved. Previous experience fighting Dieselnoi allowed Pansak to develop a plan much more easily. The 24-year-old fighter decided to press forward and force Dieselnoi to deal with fighting off his back foot.

Dieselnoi didn’t handle the pressure well. Pansak wobbled Dieselnoi in the first round with big knees to the midsection.

Petnakian Outclasses Opponent

Petnakian Phuyaiyunan kept Magnum Sor Sommai from getting comfortable during their 130-pound catchweight fight. The heat started to get turned up in the second round. Petnakian scored his first knockdown of the fight right after the start of the second round following an extended combination of strikes.

The long combination ended with a left uppercut that set Magnum down. While Magnum worked quickly back up to his feet, he wasn’t destined to stay there. Petnakian landed a one-combination that put Magnum down for good.

Teenager Shows Maturity Beyond His Years

Payakmekin Jomhodmuaythai isn’t old enough to do many of the things adults have the option to do worldwide. But the 17-year-old fighter is mature enough to fight in ONE. After a difficult debut back in February, Payakmekin was able to return to the ring and pick up his first victory in the promotion over Promrob Looksuan.

When Payakmekin made his debut, he suffered a second-round TKO loss. This time around, Payakmekin made sure to be more sound defensively. He had to be.

His sophomore effort went the distance. Payakmekin utilized shot combinations and hard knees to gain control of the fight. Promrob did use his veteran experience to gain control in the third round, but it wasn’t enough to steal the fight.

Two of the three judges said it was Payamekin’s way of giving him a unanimous decision victory.

Monkey King Wraps Up Victory

Robson de Oliveira had Rahil Baghirov constantly thinking about how to defend himself from grappling attacks. While the MMA latest updates show that Baghirov was able to fight off an attempted knee bar and heel hook at the end of the first round, his happiness wouldn’t last long.

The nice thing about MMA is that every round starts out on the feet in a neutral position. But the best grapplers are happy to attempt to bring their opponents back down to the ground. De Oliveira used a takedown in the second round to transition into a quick armbar, wrapping up a victory and pushing his record in ONE to 6-1.

Here’s a look at the rest of the fights not mentioned above:

  • Muay Thai (featherweight), Mamuka Usubyan win by knockout over Khunsuek Superbon Training Camp, Round 2 2:16
  • Muay Thai (lightweight), Denis Burmatov win by decision over Chanajon PK Saenchai
  • Muay Thai (catchweight), Brazil M Eakchat win by split decision over Takuma Ota
  • Muay Thai (atomweight), Shir Cohen win by decision over Francisca Vera
  • MMA (strawweight), Torepchi Donagak win by decision over Ryosuke Honda
