Joshua Shows Off His Insane Power - 'Sounds Like Pain'

Anthony Joshua showed off his power, as he readiness himself for a heavyweight clash against Daniel Dubois

Joshua takes on Dubois for his IBF Heavyweight Title on September 21, knowing a win makes him a three-time world champion. He has been in impressive form since working with Ben Davidson. In their two fights together, Joshua has stopped Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou. However, the level of opposition has to be questioned as Dubois is the first test for both of them. Dubois became the champion once Oleksandr Usyk vacated his belt.

Dubois recovered from his TKO loss to Usyk to secure two stoppage wins in a row against Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic. The winner becomes mandatory for undisputed between the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury, who rematch on December 21. Joshua and Dubois are both known for their power. In his last fight against Hrgovic, Dubois showed he has a devastating right hand. He landed it on numerous occasions to trouble Hrgovic.

Joshua’s Power

However, in doing so, he was also caught very early on with several right hands. There is a feeling that Joshua could end the fight early if he catches Dubois. By the looks of it, Joshua is training hard for a stoppage. The following footage shows Joshua working on his left hook to the body. He throws numerous shots under the direction of Davis as the power is undeniable. Since both possess knockout power, two former world champions have opposing opinions over who wins.

“I don’t know if he’s the people’s favourite and I don’t know if he’s the bookies’ favourite, and I don’t gamble but if I did right now and I had to pick one person to win this particular fight I’m slightly leaning towards Dubois. When you look at the last several fights that they’ve had, AJ’s had the softer ride in. Dubois has the more natural athleticism about him.” He’s more loose than AJ. He would’ve done his research on AJ and know how to beat him,” Duke McKenzie stated

“He took 56 clean right hands in the first four rounds. You’ll get away with one or two against AJ, and then you know what happens? Then you got to sleep. I take nothing away from him. Amazing resilience and a huge amount of courage against Filip Hrgovic, but it’s one thing Filip Hrgovic hitting you and another thing a wrecking Machine like Anthony Joshua hitting you,” Tony Bellew revealed

Joshua-Dubois Record

The Joshua-Dubois fight is expected to break the attendance record at Wembley. Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte set the record as The Gypsy King won via a stoppage. Joshua-Dubois has already sold 90,000 tickets. Turki Alalshikh, Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren are looking to apply for an extension to the arena to allow 6,000 more tickets. Alalshikh has now said that the extension has been approved.

“Our request to extend the capacity for a record boxing crowd at Wembley Stadium for the Joshua vs. Dubois fight at the #RiyadhSeasonCard Wembley Edition has been approved. Tickets will go on sale on Friday at 12pm UK time,” Alalshikh
