Jon Jones Looking Overweight Ahead Of Miocic Fight
Fans have reacted to a picture of Jon Jones, showing that he is out of shape.
Jones is currently out injured after withdrawing from his UFC 295 fight with Stipe Miocic last year. Tom Aspinall wanted Jones stripped, but Dana White said the Stipe fight would go ahead. Jones is expected to face Miocic by the end of the year. Miocic will retire after the fight, while there is speculation over whether Bones does the same.
White has stated that the winner of Jones-Miocic will face Aspinall. However, with doubts over whether Jones will fight past Miocic, the following picture has raised concerns over his physique. The following picture shows Jones out of shape, with his stomach looking out of shape. While he is a heavyweight, the picture has raised concerns. Even Aspinall took the time to fire some verbal shots at him.
Jones’ Physique
“Jon Jones, he was praying that I would lose that fight against Curtis Blaydes. Praying that I would. Because there is no where that you can find publicly, nowhere, him saying publicly that he will fight me. It doesn’t exist and I challenge anybody watching this interview to go and find a statement, a quote, anything where he has stated that he will fight me after he’s fought Stipe. It doesn’t exist, the guy is smart. We know he’s a bit overweight these days. The guy was sat there with the Cheeto fingers or whatever, Doritos on his fingers, with his iPhone in hand waiting for me to get knocked out, let’s just be honest,” Aspinall said
Aspinall also raised concerns over the fitness of Miocic. The Brit suggested that rumors were going around that Stipe was injured. This was crucial since Aspinall was confirmed as the back-up for the Jones-Miocic fight. That raised suggestions that Tom could step in and give fans the fight they wanted. Jones has shown a lack of interest in facing Tom as he discussed a possible Alex Pereira fight instead. Bones stated it was a much bigger fight globally. That received a lot of criticism after claims that Jones would not make the biggest fights, as fans did miss out on the Francis Ngannou bout.
Aspinall On Miocic
“These are just rumors, there is a lot of talk, and there is nothing announced yet. I’m hearing rumors that Stipe is potentially injured. These are things I’m hearing from the inner circle, Stipe I believe his birthday was yesterday actually, he’s 42 years old the guy is going to be injury-prone. Jon Jones, million miles on the clock, he’s going to be injury prone. Me, I’m ready to go, I’m not even in my prime yet and I’m hungry for it, and I’m not sure these two guys are but I am. I will fight either of them for the undisputed title on any notice, I’m ready,” Aspinall stated
Despite Aspinall’s comments, Stipe confirmed it was fake news, leaving Jones to face Miocic. A win will increase calls for the Aspinall fight.
