Biography

Professional Career

Cacace made his professional debut on February 25, 2012, with a first-round TKO victory over Ben Wager at the Emerald Roadhouse in Belfast. He quickly built a reputation for his powerful punches and tactical acumen, amassing an impressive winning streak in his early career. Cacace’s ascent in the super-featherweight division saw him clinching the BUI super-featherweight title with a first-round TKO victory over Mickey Coveney on November 3, 2012, at the National Basketball Arena in Dublin. His prowess continued to shine as he secured the vacant Celtic super-featherweight title by knocking out Ronnie Clark in the tenth round on October 16, 2015, at the Meadowbank Sports Center in Edinburgh, Scotland.

However, Cacace faced a significant challenge in his career when he fought Martin Joseph Ward for the British and Commonwealth super-featherweight titles on July 15, 2017, at Wembley Arena, London. Despite a valiant effort, he suffered his first professional loss via unanimous decision. Undeterred, Cacace rebounded with a series of victories, including a notable split decision win over Sam Bowen on November 30, 2019, at Arena Birmingham, where he claimed the British super-featherweight title.

In 2022, Cacace’s career reached new heights when he won the IBO super-featherweight title with a split decision victory over Michael Magnesi on September 24, 2022, at Manchester Arena. He successfully defended this title against Damian Wrzesiński on May 27, 2023, at SSE Arena, Belfast, further solidifying his status as a top contender in the division. The pinnacle of Cacace’s career came on May 18, 2024, when he faced Joe Cordina at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In a stunning performance, Cacace won by TKO in the eighth round, retaining his IBO super-featherweight title and capturing the IBF super-featherweight title.
