Professional Career

 

Alycia Baumgardner made her professional journey on March 4, 2017, with a first-round TKO against Britain Hart at Hollywood Casino Columbus in Columbus, Ohio. Baumgardner quickly showcased her knockout power, stopping Wendy Toney in the first round on March 26, 2017, at Ford Community Center in Dearborn, Michigan, and Lashanda Tabron in under a minute on June 30, 2017, at Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. Continuing her winning streak, Baumgardner secured a first-round TKO over Brittney Artis on August 25, 2017, at DeCarlo’s Convention Center in Warren, Michigan. She then won her first major title, the vacant WBC International female super featherweight title, with a unanimous decision victory over Nydia Feliciano on February 10, 2018, at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 

Despite a split decision loss to Christina Linardatou on July 28, 2018, at Davis Arena in Louisville, Kentucky, Baumgardner rebounded with a series of wins. She defeated Annette Pabello by unanimous decision on November 2, 2019, at Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida, and followed it up with a first-round TKO against Cristina Del Valle Pacheco on December 14, 2019, at Zembo Shrine Building in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Baumgardner’s career reached new heights in 2021. She defeated Vanessa Bradford by unanimous decision on August 14 at Caribe Royale Orlando in Florida, and then won the WBC and IBO female super featherweight titles with a fourth-round TKO over Terri Harper on November 13 at Utilta Arena in Sheffield, England. She successfully defended her titles with a unanimous decision victory over Edith Soledad Matthysse on April 17, 2022, at AO Arena in Manchester, England.

 

Her unification bout against Mikaela Mayer on October 15, 2022, at O2 Arena in London, England, ended with a split decision win, adding the WBO, IBF, and The Ring super featherweight titles to her collection. Baumgardner further solidified her dominance by defeating Elhem Mekhaled on February 4, 2023, at Hulu Theater in New York City, winning the vacant WBA super featherweight title and retaining her other titles. Baumgardner continued her reign with a unanimous decision victory over Christina Linardatou on July 15, 2023, at The Masonic Temple Detroit in Detroit, Michigan, avenging her only career loss and retaining her WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA, IBO, and The Ring female super featherweight titles.
