Devin Haney Targeting Legacy Fights

Bill Haney unveiled the “hit list” for his son, the WBO Welterweight Champion Devin Haney.
The three-division champion is targeting legacy-defining “fights” rather than traditional title defenses. According to Bill, the team is actively scouring multiple weight classes to secure the biggest commercial and competitive matchups available.

Topping the list is a showdown with Gervonta Davis. While Bill has identified Davis as the primary target, “Tank’s” immediate future remains clouded by significant legal hurdles. Following a domestic violence arrest in Miami this past January, the WBA recently named Davis “champion in recess,” effectively stripping him of his lightweight title.

The Big Names
The rivalry with Shakur Stevenson has also reached a boiling point following Stevenson’s masterclass against Teofimo Lopez last month. After Stevenson captured a title in his fourth weight class (140 lbs), Devin Haney took to social media to label a potential clash between them as “the biggest fight in boxing.” Stevenson’s response—a cryptic “be careful what you wish for”—has only fueled speculation that the two could meet later this year. However, the difference in weight could prevent that fight.
“I don’t think [it’s] ever going to happen. I think weight classes [are] going to separate that fight. Devin might not stick around at 147[lbs] too long; Devin is a big boy. I don’t see that fight [with Stevenson] happening,” Zab Judah said

Bill Haney confirmed that a rematch with Ryan Garcia is still on the table, contingent on Garcia’s performance against Mario Barrios this weekend. However, Ryan has suggested that Haney is ducking him. Garcia got the win in their fight, only for it to be overturned into a no-contest once Ryan failed VADA tests for Ostarine.
“He don’t want that. He’s been saying, ‘Oh, I don’t want to fight him.’ You don’t want to fight? Ok, I’m not going to force you to fight me. Keep your ass over there. What do I got to do? I didn’t take no damage from that fight. He had a broken jaw. He have to get his lick back. You see my face is clean. It’s all on him. I wouldn’t wanna get back in the ring with me. PTSD,” Ryan stated

Additionally, the camp is keeping an eye on Keyshawn Davis, who successfully debuted at 140 lbs with a 12th-round TKO of Jamaine Ortiz on February 1. Finally, despite previous verbal sparring, Conor Benn remains a viable option for a massive UK-based event.
“It’s about 10 names on the list. Tank is at the top of it, maybe Shakur [Stevenson] is next. Jaron Ennis. I think Conor Benn might be on there, towards the bottom, you know what I mean? Ryan Garcia is number 10, Brian Norman was on there. Keyshawn Davis, your man Keyshawn Davis is on there too,” Bill said
